Being four-wheel-drive and with just about enough room for three people, the Bentley Continental GT V8 S proved the perfect vehicle in which to hurtle across the North York Moors on a nondescript January morning.
With a mighty 4-litre Twin Turbo V8 under the bonnet you can be assured that just a gentle poke of the throttle will deliver an unrivalled experience of surging torque and unprecedented performance. Those sheep had better get out of the way.
A train station popularised for its appearances in Harry Potter and Heartbeat, Goathland Railway Station appeared to be the ideal location to take a few quick oxymoronic snaps of the Bentley.
Being out of season, the absence of steam trains chugging into the station meant walking down the platform was eerily silent, yet strangely relaxing. Yes. Very peaceful. That is, of course, until a deep-throated rumble erupts through the station; birds in the overhanging branches instantly evacuating. It must be time to leave.
